In the Floating Section of the Museum, truly one of a kind, ten traditional boats are docked with their colourful “lugsails” marked with the symbols of the fishermen’s families.

The Land Section of the Maritime Museum offers visitors an extensive and fascinating journey dedicated to traditional seafaring on the upper and middle Adriatic. Around the lugger and bragozzo, two large boats placed in the centre of the pavilion, an exhibition route winds its way amid exhibits, period films, didactic installations and 3-D animated films, illustrating the structure and construction of traditional boats and their propulsion and steering systems.

Casa Moretti was the home of the writer and poet Marino Moretti, bequeathed to the Town of Cesenatico in order to preserve, along with the original furnishings, its library and archive with manuscripts and letters. Casa Moretti has thus become a home-museum where visitors can make an ideal journey through the literary world of the twentieth century in the company of one of its most outstanding protagonists.

In the Piazza delle Conserve, the “conserve” have all been refurbished. These buildings, with their inverted cone shape piercing the ground, once served as “ice houses” in which to store fish and produce ice: a true monument to the labours of the people on land while the fishermen were out at sea.

Nowadays, every morning you can find a typical market of flowers, fruit and vegetables. During the summer the Piazzetta delle Conserve and Via Fiorentini host traditional summer markets.
